ClientEarth complaint against Spanish subsidies for coal power plants [Legal analysis 1, July 2010]

The Spanish government has been attempting to progress controversial plans to grant state aid to coal-fired power plants burning indigenous coal. In response, ClientEarth has complained to the European Commission arguing that this action contravenes EU rules and legislation on state aid, as well as EU policy and legislation on the environment.
