ClientEarth's response to the Commission’s public consultation on a new Renewable Energy Directive for the period after 2020

As part of its strategy to implement both its 2030 climate and energy ambition and its Energy Union strategy, the Commission consulted stakeholders on the revision of the Renewable Energy Directive for the post-2020 period. In our response, ClientEarth argues for a strong governance framework for renewables based on a robust and enforceable legal framework, as well as a strong legal framework to support citizen participation in the energy market.
